A cooperation between the FAU German Studies Master and the WomenEdit group of the Erlangen City Library. The workshop is supported by our PI Annette Gilbert.

“There’s so much information, but what I’m looking for is missing!” Have you ever searched for something on Wikipedia and been disappointed because the most important aspect is missing in the article or there is no article on the topic at all?

The Wikipedia Edit-a-thon aims to address this problem: Together we will learn how to create and edit an article. With a focus on literary genres, we will also examine why some genres do not exist in Wikipedia and whether something can be done about it.

To get started, we will briefly provide expert knowledge on early modern and contemporary literature. Then we’ll start editing together! You do not need any background knowledge, we are happy to help and start from scratch. Snacks and drinks are provided. Come along and learn something new about Wikipedia and literature!

When? Thursday, July 3, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (two slots from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m.)

Where? Citizens’ Hall of the Erlangen City Library (2nd floor)
