Pop-up exhibition “The Art of Energy,” November 18-22, 2025
What do everyday images tell us about future energies? What subtle messages do photographs of wind turbines, solar panels, or dark cities imply? What creative ideas can be found in literature for dealing with the climate and energy crisis? These and other questions will be explored artistically in the pop-up exhibition “The Art of Energy.”
We cordially invite all interested parties to the opening on November 18, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Bürgersaal of the Erlangen City Library!
The exhibition is part of the seminar “Energy meets Crisis,” which takes place at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg this winter semester and is led by our postdoc Antonia Villinger and Lucas Fassnacht. In the context of the seminar, students artistically explore the energy of our future and organize the exhibition. On display will be photographs and short literary texts written by the students in collaboration with Lucas Fassnacht. The focus is on text-image representations that create connections between energy, crisis, and the future in a poetic, reflective, and memorable way. ️
The pop-up exhibition in the city library is open from November 18 to 22, 2025.
An event organized by FAU in cooperation with the Erlangen City Library and the Erlangen Office for Environmental Protection and Energy Issues.
