Vita

After completing her bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Sociology at the Univeristy Tübingen, Jasmin Hilpert earned her master’s degree in Journalism and Communication Studies at the University of Hamburg in 2022. In her master’s thesis, she examined the effects of automated text production and the use of artificial intelligence on journalistic quality standards.

Since October 2025, she has been pursuing a PhD in Media Ethics at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Her dissertation focuses on current challenges in safeguarding journalistic and public-interest ethical principles and quality standards through the use of artificial intelligence from the perspective of media professionals.

Professionally, she has already gained extensive experience as a Junior Corporate Communications Manager at the Plansee Group in Austria, as well as a working student in corporate communications at Europcar Mobility Group in Hamburg and Allianz Technology SE in Munich. She also gained further professional experience in PR and marketing at the Serviceplan Group in Munich and in journalism through internships at Bayerischer Rundfunk, Franken Fernsehen, and the Nürnberger Presse publishing house. Jasmin Hilpert has strong expertise in strategic communication, media relations, brand marketing, and social media management.
