Ulrike Dencovski studied English literary and cultural studies, German linguistics and the interdisciplinary course Ethics of Textual Cultures at the University of Stuttgart, the University of Kent and FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. In addition to her research in the field of English literary and cultural studies, she worked for several years as a research assistant and lecturer at FAU. Her research focuses on 19th-century literature and culture, in particular on literature and economics, gender and sexuality, and questions of normativity. Since October 2024, she has taken on the position as coordinator of the Research Training Group 2806 together with Birgit Umbreit.
